Sorry, Missed those first pictures. Maybe you can get things aligned a bit better then you get the body attached.

That is the eventual "fingers crossed" plan...

Thanks

Geez, good luck with this one Chuck. The more I look at the twisted pics, the more of a challenge I think this will be. I like the color, it is something wicked but a Pro Street deserves something beyond the regular, doesn't it?

Tim.

Toss it on a mini dioramma when you finish . Use some very small rod or a hat pin to set this as if it is pulling a wheelie leaving the tree. Then, when someone says it looks twisted, just tell them it is because the engine has so much torque the body cant handle it.

If life is like a bowl of cherries, why do I always get the pits?

The body and chassis looks similar to the one used on revells 91 firebird, maybe you could use the body and chassis from that kit but use whatever is not warped from this one.

Yikes! That is one warped chassis! Did you know it was twisted that bad when you started?

Did not have time to take photos last night, but the chassis issues are improving... I inserted the interior tub and then wrapped the tub to the chassis using industrial rubber bands... It seems to have helped the chassis get a little straighter... Will post pics as soon as I can...

Thanks

As promised in my last post, here are a few photos of the improvement....

Pic #1: The rubber band method...

Pic #2: The newly aligned front end... Now the front is aligned, I need to realign the engine to stand straight up...

Pic #3: Need to start working on the back end now...

Pic #4: Got a little dashboard work done...

I am now in the process of marrying the body to chassis... Hopefully it will straighten the chassis out some more...

Thanks for looking

Thanks

Don't worry Chuck, The twisting is just a result of having too much power and launching the car at the drag strip. title= But... It stink's that the chassis is twisted like that. Have you used heat to try twisting the chassis?

Thanks lilpanther... Yes, I did try to apply some heat and it worked a little... I stopped when I felt it starting to snap....

Thanks
