I like the Corvette anniversary idea, car would have to be one of the anniversary years, 53, 63, 73, 83, 93, 2003, 2013.

I believe there was not a Corvette available to the public in 1983. From what I have read, there were 44 1983 Corvette produced, all crash test vehicles. The Corvette did not reach the minimum requirements, and General Motors destroyed all of them but one, which was spared and found its way into the Corvette Museum, which is in Kentucky if I am not mistaken.

Will my dad ever get his 72 Camaro on the road?

Just heard of a great theme. Sand, Sun, and Fun. Think of the choices. Woodies, beach cruisers, dune buggies, sand rails, and more. title=

I like that idea Don, sounds like fun. Round2 is re-issuing a dune buggy kit that would be perfect for this.

How about a Jimmy Flintstone build. Most of his bodies (cars, trucks, and motorcycles only) are rather inexpensive, but what an assortment. title= Standard bodies, customs, drag, LSR, foreign, hearses, big, little, and make believe trucks, motorcycles, could have beens and should have beens, and on and on. This has the potential to be really interesting.

There are some awesome ideas here. My favorities so far in no particular order are:
- Utes (hey i'm an Australian country boy who learnt drive ine a ford ute with not much floor and the Camaro ute by Clutch sounds way cool) title=
- The race car kit back to street legal car conversion
- Single model build only (ie corvette, camaro, mustang) would possibly throw up some interestings concepts
- Fun in the sun convertibles title=

A couple of suggestions of my own:
- Unusual race vehicle. Might be hard to police but the idea is take a vehicle that would not normally be considered for racing e.g a Trabant or a convertible
- Monster trucks
- Military conversion. title= Take an oridnary vehicle and turn it into a military vehicle eg a mustang urban attack vehicle.

Cheers

Damien

Never thought I would say this since I am not a huge fan myself, but Bumpa's Monster Truck idea could be cool as well... The fabrication on some of the bodies will really create a challenge and there are so many body you can lift... I think we just did an off-road or 4x4 project so this may be a little soon, but we need to keep it in mind for future projects... Something where whatever you build must be 6 feet (1:24 scale of course) off the ground and be given a creative name that is represented by the truck/vehicle...

Thanks

Although you members pick most of the project themes, I don't see monster truck, in the near future. As was pointed out, we recently did 4X4. This was the perfect opportunity for someone to build one. I thought for sure, and even hoped and truly expected that someone would. Sadly, no one did. The closest build was the M00Ch mobile. This shows that although an idea sounds good, it doesn't mean anyone will follow through on it. Very few of us look outside the box, much less build out there.

How about a one word theme - "Conversion"?

It could mean convert a street car to race or vice versa, same with a military vehicle, make a convertible from a sedan/coupe, or add a roof to a convertible, turn something into a beach buggy or monster truck or ute or drag car, do an engine conversion (Alison V12 anyone? title=), build a widebody version, or any other conversion you can think of.

The only thing required in all the builds would be a requirement to use your imagination - to come up with and build your chosen conversion.

I am still fairly new here. I have done a few works in progress but never posted pictures of the final projects but here is my ideal. It is a combination of 3 ideas already posted by Builder and Virus. It would be interesting and real fun and bring out the "evil" side in building and to see what everyone could come up with.

"End of Days Build"
Project Leftover meets Project Frankenstein meets Project Death Race: Use parts from multiple kits (2, 3 or 4 kits for one vehicle) to build a death race car with added armor and weapons that could survive in a Post-Apocalyptic world where Zombies run rampant. Anything goes i.e. Cars, trucks, 4x4, oldies, semis......I think you all get the ideal. Parts are not just limited to your standard model kits. Parts could come from Warhammer 40k or from even transformers (for those that have kids that break them). Just use your imagination and have fun.

One the Bench:
'76 Chevy Stepside (Post-Apocalyptic)
Completed:
'41 Ford Cameo
'50 Custom Chevy Truck
'49 Custom Merc
'55 Chevy Extended Cab Truck (Parts Box Build)
'55 Bel Air Gasser
'69 Nova Custom
