title= title=I need this for my current project. The body is primed with tamiya primer and need this to go with another tamiya lacquer for a two tone paint job. Why is it taking so long for this and other colors to become available?

I guess the inconvenience is a result of the earthquake that happened in Japan.

That could be it. Another cause, is that Tamiya (at least here) is slightly more expensive than Testors. Some shop owners might be reluctant to constantly reorder Tamiya...when it doesn't sell as well. Too bad, since Tamiya's acrylics don't stink up the house the way that solvent-based paints do.

Actually what happened was the fact that tamiya, due to legal reasons. had to re-lable their paint cans which took many months. Shortly after the earthquake delayed it even more. Demand is so high Tamiya cant keep up. This is what the Owner of a Hobby store told me at least.

This actually happened about four years ago, Minus the earthquake. Back then I was told it was because of California laws. And If you live here it very believable. Took about six months before things started showing up on shelves.

Unfortunatley here in Oregon it hasnt been on shelves for about 2 years. You still can find them in Local Hobby stores if your lucky. The Colors nobody likes are also on the shelves! title= I switched over to Model Master's Laquer. To me the Radical colors and Stock colors as well, suit my needs just fine.
