I think that someone should make a tutorial on how to make custom flames to go on a hood or on the side. I've seen alot of threads on this. title=

You can buy pre-cut flame templates that you just peel off and stick on the car and spray. I have seen some good results from these, but it does limit creativity.
If you want to make your own custom flames, I would suggest taking some kind of really thin tape and drawing out a flame of choice. Cut it out carefully and stick it to it.
Not sure how you would be able to get overlappeing flames though...maybe someone else knows.
