About BMC
You've arrived at one of the web's oldest and friendliest plastic scale model car websites currently celebrating 10 years of community building.
We feature tutorials, reviews, galleries, kit build-ups, new model announcements, group projects, events announcements, and a forum that includes the Knowledge Base, Painting and Digital Photography sections, amongst others!
Our several thousand members are very active and for the most part consider each other family.
BMC began life as a venture between two friends in late 1998.
Brian was a lifelong and avid builder of award-winning model cars who wanted a way to show them off to lots of people.
Gary was a software developer and webmaster who was looking to expand his knowledge and skills.
It was a perfect partnership.
Thanks to great members, what started out as a website to show off one person's models, Brian's Model Cars, has gradually evolved into BMC, a comprehensive and authoritative website for everything relating to plastic model cars, trucks, vans and motorcycles.
In recent years BMC has begun to give a little something back to the modeling community at large via hosting club websites and sponsoring shows & competitions.
While we like to have fun, we also enforce our rules very strictly. We like to think that's been several notches in the key to our success.
Please be sure to read our Terms of Service and all website regulations as doing so will make your BMC experience more enjoyable and rewarding.
Learn and enjoy. With best regards from Brian and Gary.
