Pros

Fit was good with little to no flash. Lots of fine detail all over the car and interior.

Cons

Rear window fit was poor but manageable.

Comments

Very satisfying kit for those who like the subject. Not very attractive for those that don't. The model itself is nothing more than an average run of the mill type of AMT kit.

Pros

As the others said, the flash is minimal. Fit is good, and mine had no damage to posts or other parts.

Cons

1. "442" - 400 ci, 4 bbl carb, 2 exhaust pipes. Mine had a 3X2 carb setup.
2. Box top says "2 in 1" the only option is a set of different wheels, not really much af a 2 in 1.
3. Decals consist of 3 different license plates.
4. Taillights are molded transparent red, but they have no chrome bezels, they glue over a hole in the body, have to scratchbuild taillight buckets.

Comments

Overall a well detailed kit, although it does require some work to make it an accurate representation. A kit with this much detail (for AMT) screams for detail decals. I bypassed this kit many times, now I am looking for another to build into a Superstock drag car.

Pros

1. Lots of detailed parts making it easy to paint
2. Little or no flash so body prep was good.
3. Most parts fit without any problems at all

Cons

1. Even though there were many detailed parts, there were no mirrors.
2. Bumpers did not fit flush to the body
3. Front windshield did not fit properly
4. Even though this was a 2-in-1 kit, you are almost forced to build the vinyl top version due to the body side molding. If you wanted to build the other version with no vinyl top, you would have to do a lot of sanding the whole length of the body including around the wheel wells.

Comments

For someone who just got back into building after 43 years, I was impressed with the quality of the kit even with the few flaws it had and for me the kit was very detailed.
