-Hard top or soft top option-Huge custom engine-Wheels don't stay on unless glued
-Engine cutout on hood-Engine compartment difficult to assemble-Tailights look fake
This was my second model and needless to say, it is dead. I got sick of looking at it, because it was soooo ugly. Blue Interior? I mean blue interior in a Corvette?
i loved the huge engine with blower.looks great. the wheels were very cool.Ok interior.
the dash board and radio dials werent toodetailed. the custom hood was a little hard to cut out, you just have to sand it a lot to get a good look
I totally customized the interior. I painted it dark green with black. I made the details on the door copper. Over all I extremely reccomend this car. Just take your time and this baby looks sweet.!!!!!
I really liked this model. It came out great ! I didn't make the Custom 'vette....Just the plain " stock " one. Everything went together great and there was no mishaped items at all. Barely any flash at all too. This is a great model if you want to have something great on your hands when you are finished.
None I could find. Just with some help from this website....it made this car no problem...maybe just some newbie problems and that was all.
This was a great build, I wouldn't buy another one just to keep a variety in my household. But this was a great first model and for the skilled...they could do better and make this into a real beauty !
Goes together very well. Hard and soft tops. Nice chrome. Wheels fit on frame great. Hood fits well. Trim parts fit on great.
Front end seems to not want to fit under body with out some work. Engine output emblems are too small of detail. Exhaust is done poorly IMO.
I really liked doing this model even if i had to repaint it many times. I broke off the windsheild when i was sanding and have not gotten it back to the orginal spot. I can see building other versions of this model as it went together so well
Engine options are great - full 427 blower version or L-88 - hoods to match both. Hard top or soft included. Mold and fit are good all around. Two sets of wheels included. (Not tires).
Engine bay is difficult fit - barely enough space for body to fit over inner fenders in engine bay. Wheels are for stock version - so if you build the blown street version without the flame decals - it looks like a bit of a hybrid. Entire front engine/chassis assembly must be just right - NO extra clearance. Pay careful attention to this or you will be rebuilding.
I liked this model as I spent over a year from start to finish. This kit can yield some excellent results. Good kit to customize - bigger wheels, flared wheel wells etc, would look great with street version - I didn't have the expertise to do the scratch building.
There is no body warping or any flaws.Interior has good detailing.Chassis and body both fit good together.Comes with 2 roofs, rag top and hard top.
Wind shield frame needs little adjustment for the roofs to fit properly.
I really like this kit. Kit comes in 2 version's, stock and custom.I built the custom and plan on doing the stock.I put on the flame decals and they went on with no problem and look good.Nice kit.
-Great detail.-Nice decals.-Lots of optional parts.-Can be built stock as a hard top or as a custom roadster.-Solid tires
-It can be a little hard to fit the body over the chassis and there is not a lot of room around the engine for the master cylinder / wiper canister.-None of the chrome or clear parts were bagged so many parts had scratches.-The windshield is also bent a bit which causes neither of the tops to line up properly this especially a problem with the hard top.
This was a great kit to build I built mine stock and I would build another custom. I would not recommend this kit to a beginner however as the engine cassis fit is a little tight which may cause the whole assembly to fall a part. Which could lead to the most of the kit having to be stripped and rebuilt if one is not careful. None the less a great build.
-Very accurate body-Great optional blown engine-Nice custom decals-Nice chrome-Decent fit and finish
-windshield frame flimsy-I broke it twice !-not many "stock" decals such as emblems-windshield needs to be trimmed slightly to fit properly
Very nice model of an early C3, my favorite style of 'Vette. Everything fit decently, with a few problems as noted. Great kit, I would recommend this to all modellers !
This is a pretty nice kit. Comes with two different engine packages, two different exhausts, a hard top and a convertible, and some other extra parts. The details were pretty decent.
The hood didn't fit around the blower very well, along with the pins that are used to open and close the hood. Ended up trimming the pins off and opening the hole for the blower more. Body didn't want to sit on the chassis right. Took a while, but finally got it acceptable.
I would recommend this to someone who would want to just build it to have. Has great optional parts to suit your style. I really enjoyed it.
This kit is greatly detailed. The engine was a great replica of an l-88. The chassis was great also. I built both versions and both versions were great. There wasn't any flash no mold lines no signs of warping. I would recommend this kit to anybody.
The only thing probably wrong with this kit IMO is the interior. It seemed like a tub.I wasn't impressed with the interior. That is about it that is bad about this kit.
This was possibly one of revells best kits. Parts fit great. Great engine replicas. The decals weren't the best mine ripped very easily.
-Body molded pretty good.-Not much flash to deal with on most of the parts.-Good looking customization parts. Comes with a big supercharger, and funny car style blower scoop. A Tri-Power triangular shaped air cleaner, side pipes, and some custom wheels.-Pretty good parts fit. Almost everything in my kit fit nicely.-Can be built up as a good looking stock version '68 Corvette Hardtop, or Convertible.-Plenty of good chrome parts.-Just about as correct as you can get for the Chevy 427 Big Block engine that comes with this kit.
-Both front inner fenders were left out on my model when I built this Corvette stock, because when assemble them to the body, everything is a more tighter fit. I left mine off, as interior/chassis to body was a better fit.-A few mold lines on the body, but can be easily fixed.-Interior tub looked simple, but had side panel inserts. Not that easy to paint either.-Front end sat a little higher than the rear when fully assembled. Could've been my fault though.
Overall, a pretty good model to build. I built the stock version, and turned out looking excellent. Recommended for intermediate to skilled model builders.
Clean mold lines and lots of options to build up with. Acuratley detailed accesories for the engine and exhaust. Instructions are easy to follow and well laid out. Pieces fall to together due to excellent fit and finish.
The only major draw back would be instructions don't mention all included or optional pieces. Windshield supports straight out of the box need to straightened.
Great model for any corvette enthousiast, and a perfect starting point for any number of custom applications. I would reccomend to either a seasoned or novice builder qas this is an enjoyable kit.
