Pros

Very well molded body and parts with minimal mold line.Separate doors handle, wipers, rockers panel molding and tailgate molding.Very nice engine with separate oil filter, starter and oil pan.The body have the correct proportion,it's very accurate.Good detail on the underside. You have all the decals for the gauge.Nice chrome and you don't see the mold line on the bumpers.

Cons

The only fit problem with this kit was the back glass, you have to sand it a little bit to fit it between the side windows. You don't have the parts to built it stock.

Comments

You can't built this kit to replicate a stock Chevelle Station Wagon out of the box but if you can find the '66 ElCamino you can use the hood, the engine and wheels,Station Wagon were not available in Super Sport version! The California Wheels are awesome, they look very realistic and you have separate disk brake and decals to replicate drilled disk so you can use it as a pattern to drill all the holes, strip and paint them with a metallizer!

Pros

Everything about this kit was a pro. I didn't have but just one problem with the whole kit.

Hardly any mold lines to clean up. The one on the very corner of the back at the top was a little diffucult to clean but that's the only one.

Cons

The only problem I had was that the front radiator and support was a little warped so that the hood would not close completely. Fitting the body over everything was a little tight. The front fender "ears" were a little hard to get over the front bumper supports.

Comments

This kit was an absolut joy to put together. I am for sure going to get a couple more to add to my stash for the future.

I would recommend this kit to anybody looking to build something a little out of the ordinary.

Pros

A lot of details in parts (door handles, instrument decals). For me one of the better fitting models and good snug assembly. Very little flash to deal with.

Cons

For me there were very few issues.
My only real one was the hood was a bit warped. From talking with others who did this one, a couple had the same issue. Be worth looking at yours before you start and try to remedy the issue.

Comments

I liked doing this one a lot. Like I stated above it went together nicely. The body fit to the interior and underside went really nice (which is often an issue for me with a lot of models).

I think the detail is pretty nice in this one as well. With separate door handles and wiper blades.

One word of caution, I did my first wiring of the engine in this one and afterwords I couldn't get the steering shaft into the engine bay because my wires were in the way, could be my inexperience but take precautions if you wire it.

I didn't go with the stock wheels/tires only because the low-pro's are not my thing. but they are nice and include Disk Brake rotors with decals for them (drilled out look).

I also think the color scheme they suggest on the box is ugly, but that is personal opinion. The decals for the emblems is a nice addition and feel free to sand down all of them off the body if you plan on using the decals for it instead of dry brushing if your car will be of a lighter color (don't know if they will show up well on black or real dark paints).

All in all a cool model and a nice looking ride.
