-Very little flash on the body-Tires have seperate whitewall inserts-Alot of detail on the Engine and Engine Bay-Part fit is exceptionally well-Alot of detail on the Interior-Seperate chassis from body pan and exhaust is also seperate
-Body and frame was warped-Kit is molded in blue instead of white-No rear bumper-Instrustion are a little vague in some areas
Overall I would recommend this kit for someone with good to average skills but not for a begginer.
This was an awesome kit. Minimal flash.- Great syling- detailed interior- the bed is very detailed- great decals- awesome flathead
THe only con to this model is the onepiece bed and fender assembly. Made it harder to paint.
This kit was a great kit. Everything went together great. THe only problem i had was painting it. This would be an awesome kit to kitbash and make a rat rod.
Good flowing lines. Lots of detail on the flathead V-8. Has nice whitewall inserts. 1:25 scale.
Some fitment issues but nothing drastic. Don't like the blue mold.
Overall, I had a great time building this one as I love the old classic trucks. I painted it the same color, metallic amazon green, as my 1:1 99 Ford F150. I made my own wood bed with some cardboard, simulated wood paper, and Pactra silver trim tape.
Molding was clean throughout. Fitting of parts (where I chose to leave box-stock) was no problem. All in all, a joy to build.
Weren't really many.. One thing that sticks in my mind is the side chrome trim for the hood..The pieces have to be detached VERY carefully, and require a bit of clean-up from the sprue connect points.
Dimensions and detail is very accurate. The finest details were cleanly done
-Great parts fitment-Very good windows that were very easy to detail-Very nice detail on body, interior, chassis, pickup bed floor, and engine-Extremely accurate to 1:1 pickup
-The pickup bed is 7 pieces-The afore mentioned blue plastic
Very nice kit of one of the most recognizable pickups in history. Kit is relatively straightforward, but the pickup portion is too many pieces and could cause fitment problems. But with time and patience, this kit turns out a great looking 1950 Ford F-1 Pickup. Recommended to intermediate and up modellers.
