Pros

Nice, clean detailed body. Well moulded with little flash. Tires were well formed and complimented nicely. Decals were very good.

Cons

Fitment was an issue with the hood and the attaching body piece. The rollbar could have had more detail for an off road vehicle. The roof almost seemed too large for the body and would not sit on it at all.

Comments

Overall a very pleasant build. I didn't test fit the body as well as I should have, or I would have been better prepared for the hood issues. I would recommend this kit, especially if someone is looking to hone their scratchbuilding and detailing skills.

Pros

Details are very good. The kit matches up well to my 1:1 CJ-7 albeit a 1986. Kit wheels are a good match for the chrome "Laredo" factory option wheels. Dash panel is very detailed and accurate. Decals are also quite accurate. Frame detail is pretty much spot-on aside from the molded-in section of exhaust. Thankfully all exhaust components fit well without hardly any modifications. Excellent kit for lots of scratch building.

Cons

Not really a "con" per se', but there are *a lot* of body parts to test fit, trim, file and test fit again before painting. Engine and transmission could have been a little more detailed, but still nice. A little too much flash and pinholes in the underside of the hardtop. Also, the front lip on the hardtop was wavy and didn't fit the windshield very well, probably due to old tooling. I had to do a lot of putty work and filing to get it perfect.

Comments

Excellent model to detail and personalize. Pay particular attention to the way the hard top and doors fit to the body and to each other before you paint. It will save you a lot of headaches. Same goes for the hood and cowl assembly. Here's a tip: If you plan on using the guage panel decal, drill out the heater control knobs on the decal using a .035" drill bit so the decal will fit around the knobs that are molded on the panel. Overall, I highly recommend this kit!

Pros

Great replica of the CJ-7 Jeep
Comes with quite a few options
Molding was exceptionaly well
Dash was well detailed
Came with the hood clips and handles
The decals were great

Cons

I think that there could of bin afew more details in this kit
Engine was very... lets just say poor, the oil pan, starter and oil filter was molded as one peice
The carb and manifold was modled as one
Axles and srings wre molded as one, that doesnt leave any optiion for an over or under leaf application
Rollcage didnt go together very easily
The decal sheet could of come in another colour other than orange and blue

Comments

All in all I love this kit. This is the second CJ-7 kit I own. There are so many ways to build a jeep and I most lilkely will have many more in my collecton. I had no problem with the body and mold lines or flash.

Pros

The jeep renegade was one of the best models i built you can modify the lift just as if it was a real jeep

Cons

I think when the jeep is completed they look good. There are so many diffrent ways you can build these jeep models

Comments

i think the jeep model is a good model. The only downfall is when your trying to assemble the cowl and the hodd dont fit right but other than that its a great model.

Pros

There are alot of extra pieces that make this kit fun to modify it the way you want. It also allows you to scratchbuild many pieces. Kit was very enjoyable.

Cons

I guess this kit was an older tooling because there was a lot of flash. Almost every piece that I cut from the sprue had to be either sanded or flash be taken off with a hobby knife. I had some major fit issues with the hood wanting to lay flat onto the body. Couldn't find a way to fix it.

Comments

Overall this was a very fun build, but prepared to do alot of extra work if you buy the old tooling.
