Pros

It's a 3 in 1 which means plenty of extra Parts box goodies!

The Mold was pretty clean no major flash or mold lines.

The engine detail is great. You have a couple of different options with the 429 which include vlocity stacks and high rise manifold.

The kit comes with 3 sets of tires and wheels. The Large low profile rims and tires included are great except for the backing which I'll cover in the cons.

Hardly any fit problems the chrome was decent as Revell goes.

It's a Mustang and a rare one at that!

Cons

To be honest there are more then I expected.
The front suspension is molded in to the chassis which can be a plus if you are lowering the front end, but makes it difficult to paint and detail.

The drive shaft rear differential and leaf springs are molded as one piece.

Interior detail is sparse at best. No quage decals which is really inconvenient as gauges are hard to reach to paint.

The large low profile tires included in this kit are great but I have one major complaint that pretty much goes for the whole "Motor City Muscle" line. The wheel backing is solid and can really take away from the modern look the wheels are supposed to give your model.

This kit needs serious retooling and updates.

Comments

I loved and hated this kit at the same time.

It was really great because when all is said and done it is a pretty nice representation of the Boss 429.

The sad thing is all Revell did was take a fair to spare Monogram kit throw in a couple of extras in a pretty new Box and hope people will buy it because it's a Mustang. Which of course we do.

To me Revell got it right with the California Wheels line. The wheels in that series have open backing added disc brakes lowered suspension options everything they should have done with the Motor City series.

Overall this is a nice Kit save for the lack of detail in the interior and realism with the custom wheels. I would recomend it because it is a Mustang and a decent kit, but it certainly isn't new.

Pros

The 3-n-1 kit offers a great variety of options such as wheels, tires, hood, and engine parts (stock or street). Easy build for folks that are just getting started with model building. Parts molded in white makes for easy acrylic painting (no primer required).

Cons

Limited selection of decals, especially decals for the dash instruments.
Front end fit was a little off.

Comments

This was my second kit and found it to be a quick and easy build. All parts fit together very well except for the front end. Turns out that there is noticable gap in the front end of the car after assembly. This might be an easy fix for more experienced builders.

Pros

Kit molded in white. Another great 3 way builder. Very little flash. Great part selection. Great detail in the engine compartment. Windows fit nice and snug. Comes with two complete sets of wheels and tires.

Cons

Tires come on a tree. Decals were limited in number. Nose and rear body panals are hard to secure.

Comments

I would recommend this kit to all ages. It`s has great parts for the veteran builder, yet can be simple for younger builders. Two thumbs up.
