Pros

This kit is easy to build. Instructions are a clear step-by-step process and I did not find any errors. Very good painting suggestions are provided and parts fit were excellent with little or no flash. Engine and interior detail is accurate and plentiful.

Cons

The only negative thought I have about this kit is there is no hinge supplied for the engine hood.

Comments

A very accurate model interior, exterior, engine and drive train Novice and intermediate builders can easily achieve a box stock shelf model build For advance modelers extra detailing can be enhanced with the addition of a photo etched set from Acu-Stion. There are lots of reference photos of this car on the Internet. I also found that it wasn’t too difficult to scratch building a hinge system for the engine hood. I highly recommend this kit for
our Porsche enthusiast members.

Pros

-Although the number of pieces for the engine is somewhat limited (only 12 pieces), the detail is high and the painting instructions are quite good. Even with the limited number of pieces, the engine still looks realistic.

- Tamiya quality (parts are clean, fit is excellent).

Cons

-The wheels do not come pre-chromed from the factory. This is a minor annoyance, but a personal pet peeve.

- Side windows had very little surface area that didn't show. This made it difficult to glue the windows in place. Even using white glue, it took me three tries to get the windows in tightly without the glue showing. The real problem is being able to get enough glue to hold the windows on the small surface area available.

Comments

The painting guide for the interior requires mixing paints for almost every surface. With a a few reference pictures from the internet, I was able to find craft paints that approximated the proper colors and eliminate the need to mix. Personally, I thing mixing wastes too much paint and don't like to do it, but others may not have a problem with it.

The windshield for this model attaches from the outside. Not a pro or a con to me, just different. Some people may like this, others may not.
