Pros

Very nicely detailed kit. I had only one fit problem with the whole car. Other thatn that, it went together form me like butter.

I like the engine detail. I found it to be just a really nice kit. Its the second one I've done.

Cons

I had a tough time fitting the rear panel. It took some time and patience.

I had to fiddle a bit with the side scoops. Not bad though.

Had to sqeeze the body over the engine.

I used Keith Marks decals, as the kit decals are pretty poor.

Pros

Lots of decals for engine and body, 3 different stripe colors give you a wider choice of matching body colors

Excellent level of motor and engine bay detail, including braces and horns as stand-alone parts, plenty of paintable extras like battery and washer bottle

Cons

Body was slightly misshapen, like it had been "squished" width-wise. This made fitting the interior tub, windshield, and front and rear pans a real hassle. Rear pan has glaring gap as a result that would require much filling.

Comments

Hood sits loose when closed, and will not stay up when opened, may be due to the slight distortion of the body

Grille area is recessed and takes great effort to paint correctly

Flaws aside, finished model looks very good, will look as good as the effort put into it.

Pros

-comes with lifters to give it a nice muscular stance
-great decals
-choice of rims and tires/roll cage

Cons

-my chassis was seemingly warped, as if it was molded crooked, which makes my car not set on all 4 wheels
-interior needs attention

Comments

I painted mine gloss yellow with the black stripes, and to help with the interior, I painted the floorboard and hatch carpet black and the seats and dash white and used some tan and brown for a leather look. It's decent.

Pros

A fairly accurate representation of the '69 Shelby Mustang with great engine detail. The decal sheet includes stripes in 3 different colors, engine bay markings, and license plates as well as flames. Also, includes a well detailed chassis with two choices of wheels and tires. Can be built stock of as a mild custom. The parts fit is generally pretty good.

Cons

Not too many complaints with this kit. The interior tub is well molded; however, the interior doors could be cut out for easier detailing. The decals are only fair and the stripe decals do not look accurate as they are a bit short. The biggest problem is in the fit of the rear panel. You will have to fill unsightly gaps. The location of the side scoops is not well defined so be careful here.

Comments

For the most part, I throughly enjoyed building this kit even though it seemed to take forever. If you are into Mustang or Shelby kits, this is a must for your collection.

Pros

This was a fun quick build. The extensive detail of the engine also carried over to the engine compartment and the body. The choice of two wheel styles and three body stripe colors helps the builder individualize the vehicle. There was little flashing on the parts making clean up and test fitting easy.

Cons

There was very little detail to the interior that could be due to tooling at manufacturing. There were two areas of fit issues, one being the panel under the rear bumper and the second being a hood closure issue when the air cleaner is in place. Another disapointment would be the two piece custom chrome wheels, the back piece was fully closed and needed to be modified to give an accurate look.

Comments

Fun kit with adequate exterior and engine compartment detail. With the exception of the lower rear panel and hood fit the kit can be enjoyed by builders of any age.

Pros

The kit is a 2n1 giving you stock or custom options, 2 sets of tires and wheels and decals for both options. The custom engine is well engineered and fits nicely. The interior is accurate and fine for fit. The body is accurate and requires very little clean up just like the rest of this kit.

Cons

Decals for custom options are thick and of poor quality. Tubbed interior with shallow detailing of the door panels. I had two kits and one of them the plating was of poor quality as it fades in a lot of parts.

Comments

The best part of this kit is the undercarriage whilst the worst part are the front valence and rear bazel. The latter leaves a noticeable gap. The kit can turn out nicely but I would not recommend it to a novice modeler.
