There are only three things you need. Loose-leaf, a pencil, and the part you want to make templates for.

Take your part and put it under the loose-leaf.

Take a pencil and rub it on the paper. You will see a dark outline. This is what you cut around.

This is what it looks like when you're done. You might be able to use this method to make masks for windshields and canopies.

I cut out the templates and placed them on the hood. A perfect fit.

I used these templates and placed them on mesh and cut the out. I applied them on the hood. You can see this here.
